Where would you go to buy a airplane? I think that the Internet is the best place. Firstly you can use it to search around and see what is available. Then you can use it to read reviews of the various planes and which is the best. Then you can use it to communicate with the seller and find out about the plane that they have for sale. The Internet is wonderful for bringing buyers and seller together like this and it can mean that you have far more choice available to you than you would have had if you were just relying on magazine and newspaper advertisements.
It is amazing how many websites there are with used airplanes on them. It is great to have such a good selection as it can be a really big decision, knowing which to choose. Anyone who has tried to buy aircraft before will understand why it is important to get exactly the right one and to find out all about it before you buy it. With on line reviews of things, it is easier to decide which of them would be the best model to buy and then you just have to find out which specific one, that is for sale, will be the best for you to buy for yourself.
A radio technology that allows cars to ‘talk’ to each other and avert accidents is being tested now.
It warns drivers of potential intersection crashes, rear-end collisions and lane drift - and could be available in everyday vehicles as early as 2012.
The technology will also enable traffic flow management and optimised route selection for drivers, reducing the costs of traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions.
Live safety demonstrations of the technology will be held at an Australian Dedicated Short Range Communications (DSRC) industry event.
Vehicle manufacturers and state and federal government will be among industry stakeholders who will see first-hand the DSRC technology developed by Kent Town-based company Cohda Wireless.
Cohda Wireless was founded in 2004 by a group of scientists working at UniSA’s Institute for Telecommunications Research.
Director of UniSA’s Institute for Telecommunications Research Alex Grant said DSRC is a radio technology that combines GPS and Wi-Fi like communications to effectively enable cars to talk to each other.
“This technology essentially equips vehicles with the ability to see around corners and to predict and avoid dangerous situations,” said Grant, according to an UniSA release.
Cohda has done DSRC field trials for vehicle manufacturers in the US and Europe and hopes to start a large-scale trial in Adelaide.

Now it’s up to you that which wheel you want for your vehicle so that you would have a smooth
Does anyone know the ratio of airplane fuel consumption to ground fuel consumption? Also, what the **** is wrong with people these days isn’t there a way to get better fuel mileage than 6-7 gallons per mile on an airplane, when you’re traveling thousands of miles at a time?
According to British Airways, a 747-400 plane cruises at 576 mph (927km/h), burns 3378 US gallons (12,788 liters) of fuel per hour, and carries 409 passengers when full: http://www.britishairways.com/flights/fa…
If the plane is 75% full, one passenger is carried 52.2 miles for each US gallon of fuel burned (22.2 km for each liter of fuel burned). This fuel efficiency exceeds that of almost all cars, when the driver is traveling alone.
So, to answer your question, it is actually MORE fuel efficient to travel large distances in a place (Provided it is at least 75% full) than it is to drive the same distance. Depending on distance, it may also be cheaper.
You see, you have to factor in the number of passengers that can fit in a plane and determine passenger miles per gallon.
…………….
If you divide the fuel usage of a 747, 757, 767, 777, or 787 by the number of people they carry, they all get at least 55mpg per person. Most of them get over 70mpg per person.
Even small aircraft like a cessna 172 gets 15mpg at 115mph, and thats not a terribly economical plane. A Mooney m20 gets about 20mpg at that speed. On top of that, you can fly in a direct line with an aircraft, which saves way more time than you think. I did a flight from Florida to Virginia that I usually drive, and it cut off over 100 miles from the 600 mile trip. When I flew from Michigan to Massachusetts, It cut off something like 150 miles from a 850 mile trip.
i replaced the fuel filter btw which didnt fix the problem~
you didn’t give the miles on the engine, so it can be many things….95 was the last year of the 3liter(96 went to a 3.4 twin cam) and it has EFI. Some initial checks are needed, such as worn plugs and ignition wires-cap/rotor etc. Early 3.0 had a lot of issues with head gaskets and while the 95 had improved head gaskets-it is a possibility. Check your coolant and oil level(cold) and check for moisture under the oil cap( a sign of coolant getting into combustion chamber). Based off your description, as a tech for Toyota- I would look at the injectors being partially plugged. It happens at higher miles or from getting poor quality fuel. A Toyota shop can check the VF voltage(voltage feedback) to see what the ECU is driving the injectors as an indicator, but will charge an hour inspection for this svc. If this is the problem, the manifold will have to be removed and injectors sent out–snake oil in a can will not effectively clean them at this point.

………………
I’m not sure what it is because it could be soooo many things frm a sensor to a bad cat. But what I would do is make some calls to local shops. Many will drive it and even throw it on their computer for as little as $10 so they get the chance to fix it. Trust me. That’s the way. Call around. Someone will either know what it is over the phone or after driving it or they’ll be able to pull the codes out of it and read them for you
sure they are fast compared to other ww2 planes like the B-29 or the B-17…
and yes i guess that’s a “fair” comparison, but a slap in the face to the word “fast” as compared to airplanes as a whole…
But the honest truth is that harley’s like ww2 planes can NEVER keep up with modern planes, even at a fraction of the size/cost…
and nothing compares to a SR-71 “Blackbird”
Since i’ve put it into perspective,
Do you honestly think these boat anchors are FAST?
Lnaf: you’re obviously oblivious, many people exceed the speed limits quite often…
usually we don’t get caught, but occasionally, we do…
we pay our fines, we go about our lives, continuing to live the way we want to live…
triple digits
mad jack, a cadillac won’t what?
my northstar can keep up, no worries
Now magz, remember that there’s a difference between true speed (actual speed) and apparent speed (seat of the pants speed).
For example, a 747 airplane is certainly fast when cruising 550 mph, but when setting there watching a movie, you have no impression of how fast it is actually going until the pilot announces it on the intercom.
If you happened to be scrunched up between two large, fat, sweating individuals whose bellies mash out over the armrest and into your lap, that plane wouldn’t be fast enough if it left a Blackbird standing still!
On the other hand, the old Kawasaki 2 stroke triples were certainly fast for their time, but even today they would give the impression of being fast because of their engine noise, their tendency to pop wheelies when least expected and their rubber frames made going around curves like trying to steer a hog into a truck by slipping a bucket over its head and jumping on its back. (Yes, that can be done, but it’s NOT EASY!)
Ok, closer to home, I bet 100 mph on the old 750 Honda I had would feel or seem a lot faster than 100 mph on your bike because your bike would have power to spare, less engine noise and with its superior frame and suspension, make high speed riding feel comfortable and safe.
Study up on Einstein’s theories of relativity and you’ll understand what I’m saying.
……….
I don’t buy a motorcycle to drive it 145mph. I buy a motorcycle because I love to see the country while riding a motorcycle. I love to pack up a sleeping roll and some clothes and hit the open road, when I get tired I rest and move on. I got the speed bug out of me when I was younger. If all you care about is going fast, buy a bike for that.
…………….
V-Rod top speed is about 140 MPH. While not exactly Busa range, it’s more than enough to get into trouble.
A Sportster is a lot faster than my 2001 Honda Shadow 1100. That bike was very slow! And it lacked a 6th gear. So, when comparing the Sportster to other bikes in its market segment, no. The Sportster does pretty well. About the same price, too.
As far as the V-rod goes, it is a hybrid bike. Part cruiser, part sport bike. So don’t put it in the same category as full blown race bikes. That is just ignorant and idiotic.
Would you call a corvette slow just because an F1 racecar is faster? The Corvette uses pretty old technology, such as a pushrod engine. People who compare cruisers to sport bikes are idiots.
…………
basically your analogy is flawed, new fighter planes are only 4 or 5 times faster than their WWII counterparts, you need something more like funny cars compared to the fat kid from high school gym class in a quarter mile. This one serves a dual purpose because half the time the high schooler won’t make it. and NO PUTTING CANDY BARS ON THE FINISH LINE… thats cheating.
captain awesome is a straight up retard because corvette has always been at the very forefront of engine technology, look at the domed pistons, and the rest of the LS1 for that matter, balsa wood panels, and a four paddle blower on the ZR1 the only old thing about a C6 is the styling.
and if you can show me a V-rod that costs as much as a honda shadow 1100 that can run a 3.3 0-60 I’ll give you my gixxer!
now fast is an unattached term, runners can be fast, but compared to sport bikes they’re nothing and can’t do too much against harlies either. Basically I’m trying to say it’s relative to the context, if someone was saying the v-rod is fast compared to other harleys or most cars I could live with that. If they were talking about bikes in general then there’s some justification for this post.
#1) 1998 Nissan Maxima:
21 mpg (fueleconomy.gov)
4 star all around crash test except for rear (safercar.gov)
5 out of 5 reliability (MSN Autos)
#2) 2002 Hyundai Sonata v6 (2.7L or higher)
20 mpg (fueleconomy.gov)
4 star all around crash test (safercar.gov)
5 out of 5 reliability (MSN Autos)
These 2 guys Ruin and Chucksright keep posting this answer:
for $4,000
look for
98 Acura CL, 98 Ford Mustang V6, 98 Honda Accord or Civic, 98 Nissan Frontier or Pathfinder, 98 Subaru Impreza or Legacy, 98 -00 Toyota Corolla or Echo 00
And I thought about buying one of them but then I did my research and found out they are all bad cars.
But I want more than just these 2 choices do u guys know any cars not mentioned here that are safe, reliable, and fuel efficient my price range is $5000 and down?
Oh and heres the analysis of those cars Ruin and Chucksright suggested:
1) 1998 Acura CL has a 5 out of 5 on MSN’s reliability test, 20 to 22 mpg according to fueleconomy.gov, however the problem is that this car is not crash tested and you should never a buy a car that has not been crash tested.
2) 1998 Ford Mustang has a 5 star frontal crash test but a 3 star side crash test so it’s definetely a death trap, other than that the fuel economy is 18 to 20 mpg, and it gets 5 out of 5 on MSN’s reliability test.
3) 1998 Honda Civic has a 5 out of 5 on MSN’s reliabilty test, 28 mpg, but a 2 star crash test on the 2 door version and a 3 star side crash test on the 4 door version so it’s not safe and you shouldnt buy it.
4) 1998 Honda Accord has huge transmission problems according to MSN it can cost up to $3500 to repair a frequent transmission problem, but on the other hand it does have a 4 star crash test from all aspects and 22 mpg.
5) 1998 Nissan Frontier or Pathfinder - as a rule you should not buy SUVs without stability control and these SUVs dont have stability control.
6) the 1998 Subaru Impreza has huge engine issues it can cost up to $1200 to repair a frequent engine problem, plus it’s not crash tested and you should never buy a car without a crash test, but on the upside it does get 23 mpg.
7) 1998 Subaru Legacy provided you dont buy the 2.5L engine you should be 5 out of 5 for reliability, and you will get around 24 mpg, but the side crash test is 3 stars with a high likelyhood of pelvic injury. 1998 Corolla has a 3 star side crash test, 1999 - 2000 also have 3 star side crash tests when not equiped with side airbags, and buying a used car with a safety that depends on side airbags is a very bad idea, so just on sefety they all fail, but on the upside it does get about 25 mpg and they are all 5 out of 5 on reliability.
9) 2000 Echo has an engine problem that can cost up to $600 to repair, plus it’s not crash tested, but it does get 30 mpg.
When you guy a used car, do your own research - TRUST NOBODY (even if the car is being sold by a friend, etc.) That way you know what the car is like REALLY.
Full info is good for business and friendship. Nobody can blame nobody later.
Here’s some rules you should consider when buying a used car
(1) don’t get sold on the paint job = meaning cars having good exterior, fancy CD radio, etc.
(2) look for car with sound ENGINE + TRANNY + SUSPENSION.
(3) test every button, knob, switch, slider, etc.. Ex: even in the summer test out the heater & even in the winter test out the AC (if you can). Slide the AC/heater to fan1, fan2, fan3, etc. then slid the vent to defrost, front, bottom, etc. Test the high beam, low beam, etc. Test (flip) the visor. Test the alarm. Test all 4 doors. Test the rear defogger.
***** TEST EVERYTHING.
(4) BEFORE the first start, open the engine bay and see if the engine is already warmed up. Many engines starts well when already warmed up, but may have problems when cold (or cold start).
(5) test drive with the sound system off and window down. Listen for weird sound coming from the wheels & suspension.
(6) Look inside the engine bay to see if you can see see leaks, etc. It is normal to see some oil and grease. But too much means that the car is leaking oil somewhere. Too clean (really clean) means they just wash the engine bay - possibly hiding some oil leaks.
(7) check the engine oil dip stick. If the oil is BRAND NEW CLEAN, the seller MIGHT be hiding something. If the oil is jet black and /or smells like gasoline (or burnt), you might have engine problem).
(8) once you are satisfied with the above - you can NOW take it to the mechanic for the engine + tranny + suspension inspection. He won’t find everything, but he will find the obvious. Take it to a mechanic EVEN if you are buying from a used car dealer. They cars are NO better than cars you buy from ebay and craigslist.com. Just more expensive.
……….
honda accords and civics are really good first cars.
as is a Toyota Avalon or Corolla.
i wouldn’t look at an Echo, those are caskets on wheels.
………
You didn’t mention how many miles each choice had on it. That’s a huge factor in choosing a car. I would recommend a VW, Toyota, or Honda for the fuel efficiency and reliability. Also, a car from this century would be preferable. I just finished paying off a 2003 Jetta TDI and I LOVE it. Since it’s diesel it gets 40mpg (up to 50mpg on a road trip) and will run basically forever as long as it is given it’s scheduled maintenance. So far it has nearly 200,000 miles on it!
………….
im not going to say whihc one of those for you to get because it is your choice. my advice however is to get a car with a lot of milesand is safe. dont get a super nice one because chances are you will dent/scratch/crash/break it in some way within the first year. get a car that runs and one you can deal with having for a couple years. wait for a nice high priced car for when you are older and are a more experienced driver
Most people who want to put letterings on their trucks or boats go to companies who specialize in custom-paint jobs. These businesses often make rip off deals especially if the truck or boat owner does not know the current rates for lettering services. To avoid unnecessary waste of money and time, it sometimes better to just do things on your own.
There are now many DIY lettering packages (that come with comprehensive installation instructions) in the market. Vinyl letterings are the most commonly used type of stickers. Here are some of the materials that you would need to do the job:
· Wet release system letters (for perfect installation)
· A plastic squeegee—that would be used to press down the letters and avoid the accumulation of air pockets
You would need the same materials as the one’s needed for boats (the wet system release is also highly advisable). If it is your choice to do the dry installation, be forewarned as you only have a single chance to apply the letters. Wet application system allows for adjustments and there are fewer chances of folds or bubbles during the installation.
Now that you know the materials, it’s time to go out there and start with the installation—all you would need is a sunny weather and everything’s good to go.
Have you just bought your own Dodge truck? Congratulations! It certainly is a wise investment and you are ensured of great quality. Now, you can enjoy the spacious interior of your own Dodge truck together with tuned steering and strong brakes. You can think of further enhancing the appeal and functionality of your truck by attaching a nerf bar to it.
Actually aside from nerf bars, there are still other truck accessories that you can install in order to further enhance the appeal of your truck. For instance, you should look into the various truck bed rails being sold online or locally.
Dodge nerf bars, including bed rails, are great truck accessories. With a nerf bar, you will be able to climb up or step out of your truck just as easily. With nerf bars, you’d be able to avoid truck damage caused by debris or flying rocks. Most nerf bars are made of 3 or 4-inch aluminum or stainless steel. They are also wrapped with non-slip step pads. You can find nerf bars in various styles – some with black powder coats, others with polished mirror finish and there are those that come in thick chrome plating.
When choosing Dodge nerf bars, you have to take into consideration the truck’s design and its other accessories. If most of the parts of your truck are made of chrome, then it’s a good idea to get a chrome nerf bar. The same goes when you’re specifically looking for truck bed rails.
