I caught it it was next to my 2 parakeets cage i was wondering if it’s rare it seems to be wild. The Bird is completly white no spot of another color that isn’t white and his eyes are like dark red.
Yes because i bought my second parakeet where the label said Rare parakeet and there was only white and yellow parakeets with red eyes in there.
Anyway… I have a 10 gallon fish tank, the tempature sits at 78 degrees with no light. With the light on it shoots up to a deadly 82 degrees. which has killed 2 of my fish already!
There is 2 15 watt lightbulbs, they are round and long.. Here is the question!
Is there a 15 watt lightbulb that wont let off so much heat, or some that even let off NO heat?
Round and long, is that double ended, linear filament - I had that style on my first tank, and there are no alternatives that will fit.
Only suggestion, make some more ventilation holes to lower the temperature within the hood. There is usually a second clear cover, to keep condensation away from the lamps - if that is missing, then more of the heat will be transferred to the water.
Ah, SINGLE ended, not the system I was thinking of…
I guess compact flourescent may fit, to avoid beng too overpowering, you may need to go to low wattage.
This 10W model http://www.petco.com/product/11440/Coral… - is quite expensive, and equivalent to 50 watts incandescent light, so you may need to go to 3W candle style bulbs, about the lowest power you are likely to find.
this depends on the species of fish.most are open spawners, female releases eggs and the male fertilises them, the developing fry are left to their own devices.as mentioned some fish give birth to live fry, platies and guppies are such examples.then there are the cichlids[sick-lids],the eggs are spawned, and the parents defend the eggs and fry until they are free swimming.then you have guoramis, siamese fighters and some catfish, which build bubble nests,to lay eggs.

Most fish are oviparous: females lay eggs which are fertilised externally by the male. But some fish are viviparous. Viviparous fish mate in the usual way, the eggs are fertilised, gestated and hatch inside the female who then gives birth to live young.
My female cat Deliha just got back from the vet on friday after getting spayed and everything was fine no fighting.. Today my fixed/male cat Leo won’t stop hissing at her and even has snapped at her. Whats the deal and how can I make him stop.. ? They haven’t done this before since we got them
I have been though this twice. Once when I got a female fixed and then when I got the male fixed. These cats are no longer with me but that is a story for a different day. In a couple days all should return to normal. I don’t know why cats react this way over such a short period of being away from each other (most cats are home the next day if not same day now). Maybe the cat at home can sense a change. But your cats should re-connect soon.
——
Is the other cat neutered? If not Leo may be trying to mate. They are a little aggressive but not as far as killing a cat.
They also could be jealousy. I had a cat who would attack another cat because she had babies so got more attention.
What I used to do it put one in a carrier and let them smell each other from the cage. If one attacked one, he’d go into the cage and eventually they got used to each other and could be out of the carrier.
Maybe Leo has noticed a change in Delilah. If that’s the case, they’ll get used to each other again in a few days, sometimes weeks.
I have a neutered female & a neutered male, and they fight as well. My male has been with us for two years and they still chase each other around the house and occassionally try to swipe each other. Now, though, they mostly just advoid each other. It’s fine, don’t be worried, a little fighting between cats is normal anyway. (:
If Leo isn’t fixed, I would do that, and that might stop some of the aggression.
Keep them indoors. They can be litter trained very easily. If keeping them outdoors, then buy a very large sturdy hutch (as big as you can) and get a hutch snuggle (looks like bacofoil) to keep them warm in winter and cool in summer.
Rabbits need to be vaccinated against myxomatosis and VHD twice a year. Also look out for teeth problems, if this goes unchecked the rabbit will need surgery. Get nails trimmed regularly by vet.
Don’t change their feed quickly but gradually or else they can die.
Ensure fresh water everyday and also loads of hay. Don’t overfeed with pellets and give some fresh veg every day but not lettuce, mine like brocolli and carrots. Use an all in one feed rather than colourful ones with different things in it or else they may selectively eat and this can lead to malnutrition and don’t feed them seetcorn or popcorn kernals! (Even though it is in some feed, it is bad for them)
They need cuddles and excercise everyday so secure your garden as they can get out through the smallest gaps (or dig out) or else buy a good sized run for it to play in.
Get pet insurance as rabbits can have a lot of medical problems (not all but you could be unlucky) Petplan are good.
Get a good vet as not all vets are good at looking after rabbits!
Get them neutered, seems cruel but it better for their health and also stops any aggression.
Don’t house them with a guinea pig but house with another rabbit if possible (but neuter so no babies)

To clean the cage EVERY DAY.Give it fresh food, hay, and vegetables every day.Groom it at least twice a week (shorthair) or every day (longhair) grooming a sh bunny helps to bond with it and is good for dominance.Exercise bunny daily (on harness and lead or running free supervised in fully fenced yard)
Give bunny woodblocks (from pet shop) to chew on
Take bunny to vet once a year for health check and boosters and twice a year for dental checks.Worm bunny every three months.
If bunny runs loose in the house, keep cables out of reach and clean the litter tray everday.
DONT go to a pet shop or byb.Go to a GOOD breeder or a rescue to obtain your bunny.
Ask breeder or rescue manager for more advice.
Feed the food previous owners have fed and if you want to change it,change it GRADUALLY.
2.I know this isn’t a fish, but you should consider getting African mini-frogs. They are fun to watch and play well with other fish.
3.Maybe 3 or 4 African cichlids. 20 is too small for Dempseys and large cichlids.
4.Damzels
5.female betta are nice, you can find them in pretty colors if you look hard, and lots of little guys like neons and tetras are pretty easy
6.I don’t know much about fish. But one thing I do know is get fish that can mix together. They say three of the same.
7.The cute little mini sharks.
8.cichlids are mean dont get them!!!! i have some danio’s platty’s those are the ones i have had the best luck with. but make sure to get a succker fish or and algi eater also… snails aren’t that great.
No I don’t and you wouldn’t either if you gave them a chance.
OMG yes! and cat ppl get insulted when i get scared of their cats
as to why? i dunno something in the eyes, the way they strut…the whole superstition thing about them…..both my siblings claim they saw a black cat in their room when they awoke in the mid of the night and everything in the house was locked…both were on different occasions
I definitely find cats creepy. I couldn’t tell you exactly why, but I think it is because they remind me of evil magic( you know black cats and witches).
I love cats! Had cats all my life! Never had a dog. Cats are so cool!
I find them intriguing! You never know what is going on in that head. And their eyes are just stunning! It is kinda creepy when they jump up and do the crazy cat run without any provocation, but hell, it’s really entertaining after the initial startle.
No I like cats but some can look scary if they have no ears or something or those hairless cats, those are creepy.

He is marking his territory. Or take him to the vet just to make sure. But I’m pretty sure he is just marking his territory
Well it COULD be just an aging cat thing, however urinary problems are common with male cats. He could have a bladder infection, or worse- kidney or bladder stones. I lost a male cat to bladder stones. Peeing around the house was the first sign of any problem, and by then it was too late. Some other health problems like diabetes and tumors can cause this too. If I were you, I’d take him to the vet right away and make sure he’s alright.
some one has come inside your house with another cat scent on their shoes, cats have a good nose, so your cat smells it and trys to out spray it with it’s pee!!Try cleaning some areas with citiral oil.
I won’t waste time with a lengthy answer, but.. this site here: http://www.hdw-inc.com/litterbox.htm
Has plenty of information on your problem, just scroll down a little to “URINE MARKING AND SPRAYING” and read up on that.
Inappropriate elimination is often a symptom of urinary tract infection. The cat begins to associate the pain he experiences while peeing with the litter box, so goes elsewhere. He might also be trying to get your attention.
So your first step is to have the cat evaluated by a veterinarian. If you notice he is straining a lot but not producing much (may seem constipated), then it is urgent enough to find an emergency vet after hours. Male cats sometimes get blocked up, and then it is only a matter of hours before it is too late. If he is not completely blocked up, then it can wait until morning - but make sure to get him in to see the vet tomorrow.
the first thing that comes to my mind, especially with an older cat is kidney issues or diabetes. it could also be a urinary tract infection. if this is a new thing for him to do, a trip to the vets is a good idea. if its not a medical issue they can advise you on what to do for behavior problems.
