Themed weddings?
If you were to have a theme for your wedding, what would it be? Or, if you did have a themed wedding, what was it?
We’re having a Hawaiian theme. If people don’t like themes that’s fine. But I do and this is what we want for OUR wedding. We’re not asking our guests to come dressed up in Hawaiian crap, it’s just the look we’re going for. It’s still going to look like a wedding but with a Hawaiian/tropical touch. I don’t like traditional for myself (I’m not saying anything bad about them, they’re nice, just not us) so why should I have to have one. It’s not like we just thought “hey lets have a theme!”
The wedding is still about marrying the one we love, and we’re doing it with something we love. How is that childish? We don’t have to have a “regular” wedding to show we are marrying the love of our life. Why should we spend our money on something we don’t want just because some people don’t like OUR idea for OUR wedding? But honestly, if I cared what anyone thought I wouldn’t be “admitting” that I’m having a themed wedding.

I’m not into the themes…that seems a bit childish. I know that will offend people, but that is my truthful answer.
How about the theme: I am marrying my favorite person on this earth!

No need for a theme. “Wedding” is a good enough theme for me.

Themed weddings are not really a good idea for me coz people tend to remember the themes and other stuff instead of remembering how great your wedding was.
Traditional wedding (gowns, entourage, etc) is enough. You just have to choose a really nice place for your reception. A place where the ambiance is great for everybody and the place has a nice background for the pictures (after the wedding believe me that you’d want to look on the photos from time to time remembering how great that day was for you…I did that after my wedding!lol)
If I may make a suggestion, poolside reception would be nice coz the photos looked great with the pool as the background
